ScanQuiz (“the App”, “we”, “our”) is designed to respect your privacy.
We intentionally collect no personal data and do not track any users.

- We do NOT track users across apps or websites.
- We do NOT share data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do NOT collect identifiers, analytics, or usage data.
- Scans and quizzes stay on your device unless you choose to send text for AI processing.
This policy explains how ScanQuiz works with respect to privacy.
ScanQuiz does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Contact information or address book data
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage data or analytics tied to identity
- Photos or images from your library
- Search history or browsing history
- Sensitive data of any kind
We do not create user accounts and cannot identify individual users.
2. Camera & Photo Access
- ScanQuiz uses your device camera only when you choose to scan textbook pages.
- If you save a generated image/page to your Photos library, it is stored locally on your device.
- ScanQuiz cannot access your photo library beyond saving the image you requested.
3. Question Generation (Optional)
When you choose to generate quiz questions:
- The text you manually scan or enter may be sent securely to our AI provider only to generate your requested questions.
- Images are not sent.
- The content is not stored, tracked, or used for advertising.
- We do not send any identifiers or metadata.
You control when text is sent by initiating question generation.
4. Local Storage
ScanQuiz stores the following locally on your device only:
- Scanned pages (text only)
- Generated quizzes
- History of your scans or quizzes (on-device only)
You may delete any of these items directly inside the app at any time.
We do not have access to any data stored on your device.
5. No Tracking
ScanQuiz does not:
- Use App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
- Track users for advertising
- Share data with third parties for tracking
- Link data to your identity
- Use third-party analytics SDKs
Your activity is private and never used for tracking.
6. Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple.
We do not have access to your payment information.
7. Children’s Privacy
ScanQuiz does not collect personal information from users of any age, including children under 13.
Parents/guardians may use the app with children at their discretion.
8. Data Security
When text is sent to our AI provider (only during quiz generation):
- The connection is encrypted using industry-standard TLS.
- No personal data or images are transmitted.
9. Your Choices
- Do not initiate question generation if you do not want text sent to the AI provider.
- Delete scanned pages or quizzes from within the app at any time.
- You may uninstall the app to remove all data stored on your device.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically.
Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
